Visión Guatemala was a National project that managed to develop a succesful dialogue process, helping society to define a shared vision about Guatemala.

The project had three objectives:

  • Develop a process for building a national vision and scenarios, stimulating debate and discussion and contributing to define an agreed and shared vision about the future of Guatemala.
  • Build local capacities to disseminate and transfer the practice of scenario thinking to the strategic effort of society and governments.
  • Generate and disseminate strategic information to help Guatemalan society internalize a common vision about the country and raise public awareness about future alternative settings for Guatemala, incorporating them into their own processes of strategic management.

The Project lasted for 14 months, starting in 1998.
